Plantinga's views on Evolution and the Bible

Read an article by a Calvinist thinker I studied back when I was a student of Philosophy at UBC. It is curious that so many of us in our 30's and 40's took degrees at UBC; Fr. John, Mat.Jenny, Fr. Richard, Brandon-Anatassy. Even Dave did a short spell at UBC. Anyway this article I linked to brought back some memories of time spent on logic.

But, I think we have a few UVic graduates as well....
and how many philosophy students...

Oh, to be back in University... well there are some things I don't miss but the freedom to go to class and study full time... those were the days. Now, I can barely stay awake to read something remotely challenging to the brain.

Alvin Plantinga is a very serious and worthwhile thinker... I look forward to reading this. Thanks Thomas!

His work on theism being "properly basic" was very encouraging to me in my student days because it reassured me that I had NOTHING to be defensive about for believing in God.

I heard him give a public lecture at Regent, too, years ago, which was pretty cool too.

I majored in philosophy too, and had a brief infatuation with Plantinga's work in my second year. It's been a while since I read him.

Biss.
You have a major in Philosopy? I did not know that. Did you focus on any particular type? What was your favourite? Did you do your entire degree at Trinity?

Are you going to Andrea's on Friday?
